Imagine That Welcomes Alexandria Benes to our Team!

We would like to welcome our newest intern, Alex Benes. Alex is a Summit County native finishing her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration at Colorado Mountain College. Alex grew up in Heeney, a small town north of Silverthorne. After graduating from Summit High School in 2013, she went to the University of Wyoming to continue her education. Although she had many great experiences, her love of the mountains led her to move back home to attend CMC. She has gained an Associate in Business degree while pursuing the BSBA.

During her free time, she likes to hang out with her family and three dogs. She enjoys skiing deep powder and spends most of her time outdoors. When there is no snow on the ground, she enjoys running and road biking on various trails. Alex is also a volunteer Young Life leader for the high school and enjoys giving time back to the community. To apply her education in a professional setting, she is working part-time for a local property management business and interning with Imagine That.

Business Administration is one of the few four-year degree programs that CMC offers in Summit County. It was appealing to her because of the real world experience she can gain from working with community partners. She has taken a wide variety of classes that will help her understand different aspects of running a business. The majority of her classes have been focused on management, accounting, and finance. With a few marketing and design classes, Alex recognizes the importance for professional website design to build a company’s brand. Working with a company that is focused on marketing and integrates technology was the one thing that her education was missing. We are thrilled to be able to provide Alex the opportunity to gain exposure to our world of digital marketing. Her internship will help us grow, and she will gain knowledge of the different tools, campaign management, and the application of technology to help our valued customers grow their businesses.

Currently, she is in her last semester looking to gain more experience in applying the creative process in building brands and website design.

What are your goals at Imagine That?

"To learn more about design and how to create effective user experiences both in the digital space as well as print. I would like to learn what tools are available to promote businesses through different channels. I am looking forward to learning blogging techniques and improving my writing skills. Overall, I don’t think there will be a lack of learning on a daily basis with Imagine That!"

What are your goals in life?

"Alex aspires to open her own business one day here in Summit County. Her idea is to build a socially responsible company that gives back. She is passionate about outdoor education and would like to teach kids the basics of wilderness safety and help prevent tragedies that too often affect our communities. She wants to help others overcome obstacles through outdoor education and building the foundation of a healthy lifestyle."

What is your go-to social media site?

"I am an avid user of Instagram. I love being able to express my life through pictures. I think it’s a great way to be creative and connect with friends and family through a different channel. Living in Colorado gives a really great canvas that changes every day. I want to remember all the places I’ve been and the people I get to share life with. With Instagram, I get to pretend I am a professional photographer for the day."

Over the next few months, we are looking forward to working with Alex on interesting projects. It will be a valuable experience for Imagine That as well as for her. No doubt, the value of having Alex on our team will be appreciated by our clients, and we will enjoy learning and growing with her through this important phase of her education.
